各位家长，
武汉新型肺炎近日迅速扩散，引起了石溪华人社区的密切关注。担心国内同胞的安全的同时，大家也表示了对该病毒在石溪本地传播的担忧。中文学校校委会在征集老师家长的意见后决定，暂缓原定于2月2日的石溪中文学校鼠年游园会。是否以及何时有可能举行，视下一步事态发展而定。非常感谢所有学生、家长、老师、报名参加义工的志愿者和中文学校的朋友们为准备游园会所付出的时间和精力。希望大家能理解此决定，并祝大家新春愉快，身体健康！
请大家提醒家人和朋友在近期注意防范，避免出入人多的公共场合。请近期从国内特别是武汉过来的朋友密切关注身体状况，诚恳建议避免和他人的接触。
校委会会密切关注事态的发展，如果出现需要调整中文学校上课时间的情况我们会及时通知大家。

Dear Parents,
The outbreak of coronavirus in Wuhan, China has caused great concern of the Chinese community at Stony Brook. While watching the development of the situation, parents and teachers have expressed concerns of possible spread of the virus in New York and local areas.
Out of an abundance of caution, the CCL has decided to suspend the 2/2 Year of the Rat Celebration. Whether and when it will be possible to have the celebration, will be decided pending future development of the situation.
We thank all students, parents, volunteers, teachers and friends of the CCL for the time and effort spent preparing for the Celebration. We hope everyone understand the decision, and wish everyone a happy and healthy Year of the Rat!
Please also advise your family and friends to take precautions, and avoid crowded public spaces. For those who just returned from China, especially Wuhan, you are cordially advised to watch closely of your health, and avoid contact with others for the moment.
The CCL will monitor the situation closely. Should there be necessity to adjust the teaching schedule, we will advise everyone timely.
