新型冠状病毒的持续扩散引起了本地学区、大学及各单位组织的强烈关注。中文学校校委会在决定取消春节游园会后，一直密切跟踪关注事态的发展以及考虑其对中文学校教学活动的影响。在听取老师和家长等多方面的意见后，学校决定本周六（2/1）停一次课。以确保于近期从国内返回石溪本地学习和工作人员安全度过潜伏期。
如果没有出现病毒在石溪本地确诊的特殊情况，中文学校将于2月8号继续上课。另外，中文学校将于4月4号（snow day）上课以确保课时。在接下来的几周，请有咳嗽、鼻塞、发热等感冒症状的学生、家长、助教及老师留在家里休养。此类情况不会记入考勤记录。

CCL board has been closely following developments relating to the new coronavirus that emerged in the city of Wuhan, China. Fortunately, there has been no confirmed cases in New York state. After consulting with parents and teachers, the board has decided to cancel the school session originally scheduled on 2/1/2020 out of precaution. School will resume on 2/8/2020 if no further development of the coronavirus is reported in the local area. A school session will be added on 4/4/2020, which was reserved for snow day. Parents who were scheduled to be on duty on 2/1/2020 have been rescheduled to 4/4/2020.
